Catriona completed a Masters in Film Practice at Edinburgh Napier University. Her graduation film premiered in competition at the 65th Venice International Film Festival in 2008. Her next short, ‘A Cuillin Rising’, premiered at the 55th BFI London Film Festival in 2011 and was nominated for the Best New Short at London Short Film Festival. Last year Catriona produced the short ‘Dropping off Michael’ (dir Zam Salim) as part of Sigma Films and Film City Glasgow’s training initiative which was nominated for the Scottish Bafta for best short film.
Catriona is now in development with her first feature through the Scottish Film Talent Network and BFI.Net and is in post-production on another short. She has also been a resident on talent labs at EIFF (2012), Berlinale (2013) and TIFF (2013). She is currently a visiting lecturer at Edinburgh College of Art and Edinburgh Napier University.
